My First Journey Toward Kindness In Action

There is something special about getting into your car with purpose. Recently, I took my first KIA On The Road trip, not just to drive, but to move toward places where people are actively creating Kindness In Action for others.
My destination was Edge United Methodist Church, my church and the home of the Mighty Caregivers ministry. As I pulled into the parking lot, I realized this trip was about more than transportation. It was about recognizing how care lives inside everyday spaces when people choose to serve others.
At Edge, there are so many ministries, programs, and shared community spaces where people quietly step in to help. Some people provide encouragement. Some offer meals. Some pray with others. Some create places where people can gather, connect, and feel less alone. Every room carries stories of people choosing compassion over isolation.
What stood out to me most is that Kindness In Action does not always look big or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like someone opening a door. Sometimes it is listening to a person who needs to talk. Sometimes it is volunteers preparing a room so another ministry can serve the community. Care often grows through shared spaces where people work together to meet needs.
As I walked through Edge, I was reminded why Mighty Caregivers matters so much to me. Mighty Caregivers is not just about one type of caregiving. It is about creating opportunities for people to care for one another in practical, meaningful ways. It is about seeing needs and building spaces where others can step in to help when they can.
This first KIA On The Road trip reminded me that my KIA is becoming more than a vehicle. It is becoming part of a journey toward people, ministries, and organizations that are planting seeds of hope and care throughout the community.
I believe there are Kindness In Action stories everywhere. Sometimes we just need to get on the road and go looking for them.
Keep on caring and keep on driving forward
,Jeremy
