NOW IT'S YOUR TURN

We want to get to know the people who make up our church and community.  Answer whatever you feel comfortable sharing. This is a conversation starter, with no commitment to volunteer.

May we contact you to learn more or explore a connection?

I’m Jeremy. If we’ve spent much time talking, there’s a good chance I’ve said, “You know who you need to meet?” I enjoy hearing someone talk about what they love and realizing I know another person they might connect with. Sometimes I make the introduction and get to watch something grow. Those moments mean a lot to me. I’m married to Amy, and we live in Groveland with our dog, Molly. We also carry sweet memories of our dog Zoey, who is no longer with us. I enjoy Disney, Universal Studios, Only Murders in the Building, and Billy Joel. I love Christmas, too. If we’re looking for something to talk about, any of those would be a good place to start. I’m a preacher’s kid. Both of my parents are pastors, so church has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents live in Indiana, and being their son and a caregiver from Florida can be hard. There are times I wish I could get in the car and be there. That distance has helped me understand some of the worry caregivers carry, even while they’re going about their everyday lives. For more than 25 years, I’ve worked in activities, senior living, and social work. As an activity director, I’ve spent much of my life getting to know people and figuring out what helps them feel involved. What do they enjoy? What gets them talking? What might give them something to look forward to? My current work includes engaging adults in a mental health program, and those questions still matter every day. So that’s a little about me. Now I’d love to hear about you. What do you enjoy? What could you talk about for hours? Is there something you’ve always wanted to try? The next time you see me at Edge, come say hello. I’d love to hear your story—and there’s a good chance I’ll think of someone you should meet.

My name is Stefanie Zagzebski, and the first thing I’d want you to know about me is that I’m a child of God. My faith is part of how I connect with people, and helping others is something I care deeply about. People often come to me when they need to vent or talk through questions about their purpose. I describe my gift as being an exhorter and someone who encourages others. If you need to get something off your chest or talk about where you feel God might be leading you, I welcome that conversation. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and praying. If you enjoy those things too, we already have something to talk about! I’d also love to learn Spanish. Prison ministry is especially close to my heart. It’s an area where I’d like to make more connections, so if you’re involved or share that interest, I’d love to hear your story and learn more about what you do.
