Mighty Caregivers on the Road

Public·1 member

Today marked only my second Mighty Caregivers on the Road adventure. I pointed my car toward Minneola, Florida, to attend a food truck fundraiser at Unforsaken Treasures Resale Shop. The event was sponsored by Your Home Rescue, a local company helping provide meals for people in need.

What I enjoy most about Caregivers on the Road is that every stop creates an opportunity to connect with people and hear their stories. This event was no different. As people gathered around the food truck, there was a sense of community, friendship, and caring. We shared a meal, caught up with one another, and talked about the good work being done throughout South Lake County.

I traveled to an event where people gathered to lovingly feed and pray with members of our community. I had the opportunity to reconnect with people from I Am A Safe Place, Rose of Sharon Ministries, and Inspired Life Ministries. Together, they were kindness in action. People were welcomed, meals were shared, prayers were offered, and relationships were strengthened.

The food was provided by Blazing BBQ, and the event was sponsored by Your Home Rescue. As I walked around and talked with people, I saw what happens when organizations, businesses, churches, and individuals come together to care for others. It was not complicated. It was simply people helping people. It was kindness in action.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing Julia D'Arts. Julia is a Mighty Caregiver in our community and the founder of I Am A Safe Place, a nonprofit organization that helps survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other traumatic situations find hope, healing, and support. Through education, support groups, mentoring, and community resources, the organization helps people rebuild their lives and move forward with confidence.

If you would like to learn more about their work or support their mission, visit I Am A Safe Place. Please consider making a donation to help them continue serving individuals and families in need.

I also enjoyed learning more about the community involvement of Your Home Rescue. It is always encouraging to see local businesses using their resources and influence to help others. Events like this remind me that kindness is not limited to nonprofits or churches. It can be found wherever people decide to care for their neighbors.

Another exciting part of the day was meeting several people who were interested in joining the Mighty Fleet. As we talked, ideas began to grow about future gatherings, community projects, and new Mighty Caregivers on the Road adventures. What started as a simple idea about driving toward kindness in action is beginning to bring together people who want to make a difference in their communities.

Moments like these remind me why I started Mighty Caregivers on the Road. There are amazing people doing good work every day, often without much recognition. Their stories deserve to be shared. I believe there are Mighty Caregivers all around us. Some work in churches, some in nonprofits, some in healthcare, some in recovery programs, and some are simply neighbors who care enough to step in when someone needs help.

As I drove home, I realized that Mighty Caregivers on the Road is becoming more than just my journey. It is becoming a shared adventure. Together, we can visit organizations, support local causes, meet Mighty Caregivers, and tell stories that inspire others to care.

This was only adventure number two, but the road ahead is already looking exciting. New friendships were formed, new ideas were shared, and new opportunities to serve are beginning to take shape.

If yousimply believe in Kindness In Action, consider joining the Mighty Caregivers Fleet. There is plenty of room on this road, and the next adventure may be just around the corner.
